Man Turns Himself In For Armed Robbery Of Pedicab Driver During Firefly Festival

DOVER, Del. (CBS) – The Firefly Music Festival wasn't all fun, games and music. For some, it was apparently about taking advantage of others.

Dover police say they recently arrested a man who had been wanted for the armed robbery of a pedicab driver that happened during Firefly on June 21st.

Police say around 2:47 a.m., Antonio Stevens entered a pedicab being operated by a 29-year-old male who was driving Firefly attendees to various destinations.

Stevens asked to be transported to the area of Lakeview and Sunset Drive from the area of the festival. Upon arrival, Stevens placed a handgun to the victim's back and demanded money and personal belongings.

Stevens apparently fled with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as the victim's cell phone towards the Dover Inn.

Police and a K-9 partner were able to track Steven's travel towards the inn, and when a phone call was made to the victim's cell phone, that phone was found on the roof of the hotel.

Detectives also obtained surveillance footage from the area from hotel staff and were able to identify Stevens from the footage.

Stevens reportedly turned himself in to police at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. He is now facing charges of Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited, Possession of Firearm during Commission of a Felony and Offensive Touching.
