Man Struck And Killed By Vehicle In Burlington City

BURLINGTON CITY, NJ. (CBS) -- Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Burlington City, New Jersey early Sunday morning.

It happened around 5 a.m. along Route 130 in the area of Bird's Paradise.

Police say a 41-year-old man from Burlington City was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained on scene and was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro for non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.

The victim's identity was being withheld upon notification to family members.
