Man Accused Of Stabbing Woman, Child Scheduled For Hearing In Maryland

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The man accused of stabbing a mother and her young daughter over the weekend in West Oak Lane is scheduled for a hearing in Maryland today.

41-year-old Stephen Burton will either waive his rights and be brought back to Philadelphia to be charged, or fight extradition.

Police say it started as a domestic dispute and quickly escalated when Burton allegedly attacked his 21-month-old baby girl and her mother with a knife.

The mother and daughter remain in critical condition.
