Police: Woman Arrested In Man's Stabbing Death In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police say an arrest has been made after a man was stabbed to death in his South Philadelphia home overnight.

At around 1 a.m. Monday, police say they were called to check on a man in a home on the 1200 block of Johnston Street.

When cops and medics got in through the unlocked front door, authorities say they found 65-year-old Michael Massaro with a stab wound on his stomach and blood all over his shirt. He was pronounced dead.

Police say 23-year-old Savannah Pharo is being charged with murder in his death. Police say she was friends with the victim and that the motive was some type of dispute between the two.

The names of the victim and suspect have not yet been released.
