Man Sought In Armed Robbery Of Mayfair 7-Eleven

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for the armed suspect who was caught on tape robbing a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident happened at about 10:25 p.m. on January 14th at the 7-Eleven store in the 2900 block of Cottman Avenue in the city's Mayfair section.

The suspect was caught on tape entering the store and approaching the counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and pointed it at an employee.

The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and several packs of cigarettes, the suspect left the store. He was last seen heading south on Brous Avenue.

The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male with light brown eyes. He was wearing a dark-colored bandana over his face, a black-hooded sweatshirt, a dark-colored puffy jacket with a white mark on the right sleeve and tan or brown-colored pants.
