Victim Killed In Hunting Park Shooting ID'd, Suspect Charged With Murder

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in Hunting Park.

It happened around 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of Kerbaugh Street.

Investigators say Daquan Clentscale was shot multiple times at close range. Police arrived to the scene to find Basil Lewis standing over the victim. Lewis was taken into police custody.

A handgun was retrieved within close proximity of the victim and another was recovered from the suspect.

The motive is believed to be an argument.

Lewis has been charged with murder and related offenses.
