Man Shot In Thigh Outside Library In Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for two suspects in the shooting of a man near a library in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at about 5:30 a.m. along the 2200 block of Cottman Avenue outside the Northeast Regional Library.

According to investigators, an unidentified man was shot in the thigh during what is believed to be an attempted robbery.

The victim was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital in stable condition.

The suspects ran after shooting the victim and remain on the loose.

The shooting remains under investigation.
