Philadelphia Police: Man Shot In Chest, Killed In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's Kensington neighborhood. It happened on the 1800 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

Police say a 44-year-old man was shot in the chest around 5:15 a.m. Monday.

 

He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the suspect is described as a Black man, wearing a yellow shirt and black pants. He was seen fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle eastbound on Allegheny Avenue towards Jasper Street.

So far, no arrests.
