Man Shot Dead Outside Bar In Hunting Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a man outside of a bar in Hunting Park.

Police received a call for shots fired outside a bar near the intersection of 8th Street and Hunting Park Avenue shortly after 10pm Friday.

Officers arrived on scene and found a 22-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators found at least six shell casings on the street. They are interviewing witnesses and also reviewing surveillance video from the nearby Hunting Park Seafood Market in hopes of identifying the shooter.

"We do have a good surveillance video that actually shows the shooter running towards the corner of Franklin and Hunting Park," said Police Captain George Fuchs, "and passes the gun to somebody else."

There was no word on a motive.

The victim has not been identified.
