Man Seriously Injured In Explosion Near Donation Box In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A 50-year-old man is in critical condition after he was injured by an explosion near a donation box in Wilmington. The explosion happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 300 block of Governor Printz Boulevard.

The victim was rushed to the Christiana Hospital in suffering from burns and lacerations. He remains in critical condition.

Delaware State Police and the fire marshal are working to determine what kind of device it was.

Officials say there was no property damage.
