Man killed, Woman Injured In Shooting At New Jersey Home
PATERSON, N.J. (AP) — A shooting at a northern New Jersey home has left a man dead and a woman injured.
Paterson police say the shooting on North 3rd Street was reported around 2:10 a.m. They say both victims were found outside the residence, but it wasn't immediately clear where the shooting took place.
Nineteen-year-old Lamonte Proctor, who lived in the home, was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later. The woman, whose name was not released, was treated at the hospital for undisclosed injuries.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Authorities declined to disclose further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used.
