Man In Custody After Barricade Situation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is in custody after a barricade situation at a home in the Frankford section of the city.

According to police, a Hispanic male in his 30s or 40s, armed with a gun was threatening neighbors and ran into the private residence at 2000 Bridge Street just before 5 p.m. Sunday. The man refused to come out and an official barricade was declared at 5:31.

Police were stationed on the corner of Granite and Ditman Streets and traffic was shut down in both directions.

The male surrendered a short time after and was taken into custody without incident.
