Man Extremely Critical After Being Shot Multiple Times In Juniata Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man is in extremely critical condition after being shot in the Juniata Park area.

Around 2 a.m., police responded to multiple 911 calls of gunshots and a person shot on the 4600 block of Ella Street.

Upon arrival, police found a 26-year-old male with at least three gunshot wounds.

That man was taken to Temple University Hospital and remains in extremely critical condition.

Police say that, based on ballistic evidence, at least three shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon.

The 25-year-old male shooter reportedly remained on scene for police to arrive and turned himself and his weapon in to police.

Both the suspect and a witness are apparently being questioned, but a motive remains unclear.
