Man Critical After Police-Involved Shooting In West Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police say officers shot a 19-year-old Sunday evening after he pulled a gun out and pointed it at them.
This happened just before 9 p.m. on the 5600 block of Media Street in West Philadelphia.
According to police, officers saw the suspect with a gun, announced they were police, then the suspect fled before the officers caught up to him and pointed the gun.
The suspect is now in critical condition. No injuries to officers or civilians were reported.
Police did recover the suspect's weapon.
