Philadelphia Man Charged In Connection To Stabbing Death Of Nicki Minaj Crew Member

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 31-year-old Philadelphia man is being charged with attempted murder in connection to the fatal stabbing of a member of Nicki Minaj's road crew earlier this month.

Police say Pierce Boykin was arrested Monday for the double stabbing and homicide outside of the Che Bar and Grill on February 18th.

Police were called to the bar on Stenton Avenue just before 3 a.m. on a report of a fight and stabbing. Both victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in private vehicles.

That's where 29-year-old Devon Pickett of Brooklyn, New York succumbed to multiple stab wounds to his torso. The second victim, a 27-year-old man, suffered stab wounds to his left arm. He's listed in critical condition.

Pierce Boykin is being charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, and related offenses.
