GALLOWAY, N.J. (CBS) - Police in New Jersey have arrested a man they say broke into Assumption Regional Catholic School in Galloway over the weekend.

Galloway Township Police responded to the school just before midnight Saturday after the burglary alarm went off. That's where officers say they found 62-year-old John E. Thomas standing outside of his vehicle in front of the school.

Police say surveillance video showed Thomas entering the school and activating the alarm. He allegedly was in possession of a classroom folder which police say he removed from inside the school.

He was charged with numerous offenses including burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
