Man Arrested In West Kensington Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police have arrested a man allegedly responsible for a robbery in West Kensington.

The incident occurred in the evening of March 12. (See Previous Story)

Authorities arrested Jesus Jiminez after receiving an anonymous phone call identifying him as the suspect in a surveillance video released to the public.

Jiminez is accused of robbing the Golden Block Dollar Plus located at 2457 North 5th Street.

He allegedly grabbed a female employee and placed a gun to her head while demanding money. He is then accused of hitting her on the head with the gun.

A witness then grabbed a bat and forced the suspect out of the store.

Jiminez has been charged with robbery and related offenses.
