Man Arrested For Allegedly Groping Student In Del. Park

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) -- Police say a man has been arrested and charged with offensive touching in connection with an incident in Rittenhouse Park in Delaware earlier this month.

Carlos Morciego, 39, is accused of grabbing and groping a female graduate student who was out jogging in the morning of May 19.

Police say detectives received a tip that Morciego could possibly be the suspect in the alleged groping incident.

Officials say the tipster was able to provide information linking him to the crime on the day of the incident.

The tipster is a coworker of Morciego at a business located on Marcus Court near where the incident occurred,  authorities say.

Police conducted a search warrant at Morciego's home and took him into custody on Friday.

Police say he was released on $100.00 unsecured bail.
