Man Arrested After Reports Of Suspicious Person In Levittown

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Police say a man was arrested after reports of a suspicious person in Levittown.

Residents of the 200 block of Thornridge Drive reported seeing a male walking through their back yards around 8:30 Thursday night.

When asked what he was doing, the man claimed he was searching for a child.

Authorities say an officer recognized the man as Christopher Baxter and that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. When searched, police found illegal prescription medications.

Baxter was arrested taken to the Falls Township Police for processing. In the future, he will face new charges for illegal possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say there has been in increase in residential burglaries and ask residents to contact police if they witness unusual events.
