Love Triangle Reportedly Behind West Philadelphia Double Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A love triangle is reportedly the motive behind a double shooting that left a man and woman injured in West Philadelphia.

Around 11:52 p.m. Wednesday night, police found a 36-year-old male suffering a gunshot wound to the left side of his face.

The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and stabilized.

Just minutes later and less than a mile away, a 42-year-old woman was shot in the face and in her chest inside of a home at 58th and Delancey Streets.

The victim told officers that her husband shot her while inside their residence.

She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical but stable condition.

Around 1:00 a.m., a 51-year-old man turned himself into police stating that he had shot his wife on Delancey Street along with another male on Walton Street.

He will be charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses.

The motive is domestic.
