Local Organization That Cares For Displaced Animals Needs Your Help

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A non-profit emergency services organization based in Philadelphia that cares for displaced animals after residential fires or other disasters could use your help. Their supply shelves are nearly empty.
The Red Paw Emergency Relief Team just reunited another pet with its family -- its 200th this year. The organization cares for the animal for free while the owners get back on their feet following a residential disaster.
Jennifer Leary founded the organization in 2011. She says a reunion kit is given out when the pet finally gets to go home:
"So we give dogs leashes, collars, dog food, toys, dog beds and flea medicine. And we give cats cat food, litter boxes, scoops, toys, stuff that the family lost in the disaster that they need to start off right with their pet."
Leary says services have more than tripled over the past four years and supplies are greatly needed.
