Local Medical Facility Accepting Gowns & Accessories To Help Girls In Camden Attend Prom

By Lynne Adkins

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local medical facility wants to make sure girls in Camden can attend prom this year.

The cost of attending prom seems to go up each year and Lourdes Medical Associates/Osborn Family Center in Camden wants to make sure students at a local high school can afford to go.

Deborah Bokus, the director of social services, says the facility is accepting clean, wearable gowns and accessories that will be given out for free to students at Dr. Charles E. Brimm Medical Arts High School.

"This is definitely a pure community project where we're trying to just assist in any way we can so they have extra money to go to the prom and all the other expenses involved."

You can donate a dress at the facility on Haddon Avenue in Camden until April 15th.
