Local Man Celebrates 100th Birthday On The Lanes

ARDMORE, Pa, (CBS) -- A party in Ardmore tonight marked the 100th birthday for Sylvan Brandman.

The party took place at the Wynnewood Lanes in Ardmore. Brandman celebrated his 100th birthday.

His nickname is Sye. He bowls three times a week and on Friday night, everybody at the lanes got together to wish him a happy birthday.

Brandman says the friendship is what it's all about. "Well, it means I'm with friends that I've been bowling with for 40 years," Brandman said. "You can't beat that."

Brandman bowls a 137 average.
