POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- The Sly Fox Brewery, in Montgomery County, Pa., is releasing a new beer for outdoor lovers -- and specifically for those who do their outdoor activities in and around the Schuylkill River.

It's called Schuylkill River Trail Ale, and Sly Fox plans to roll it out as part of a big Earth Day splash in April.

Sly Fox master brewer Brian O'Reilly says the Pottstown-based brewery and the nearby Schuylkill River Trail have always attracted a health-conscious crowd.

"We've had a lot of great partnerships with running clubs and things like that, and quite a few races at the brewery," he tells KYW Newsradio.  "People enjoy getting out, being active, and having a beer to relax afterwards."

A relatively new Sly Fox partner is the Schuylkill River Heritage Area.  Executive director Kurt Zwikl says his group will help the brewery roll out SRT Ale over a five-day period leading up to Earth Day, on April 22nd.

"We'll do trail cleanups at different communities along the river, and they're going to have a group of people that are going to be biking, hiking, paddling, and I think they're gonna go on horseback to bring some of the beer all the way to Philadelphia," he notes.
