Local Animal Rescue Group Looking For Person Who Left Puppy For Dead
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - An animal rescue group based out of South Jersey is offering a reward as they look for the person who tortured a puppy and left her for dead in a Philadelphia park.
A video was posted to Facebook by Lilo's Promise showing the puppy taking her first steps since she was found in Tacony Park in the Juniata section of the city last Tuesday.
She is currently emaciated and very weak, but was in much worse shape when she was brought to Lilo's Promise by a good samaritan who found the dog in a basket, near death.
The dog has been temporarily named 'Nani.'
The group has asked anyone who might know the dog's owner to contact them or to contact police.
