Several Pedestrians Struck In Montco, Route 422 Closed In Area

LIMERICK, Pa. (CBS) -- Chopper 3 was over the scene in Limerick on Thursday afternoon. Officials say two pedestrians were struck.

The incident took place eastbound on Route 422 near S. Trappe Road in Montgomery County.

Several vehicles could be seen with damage.

Authorities tried to get a medical helicopter to the scene, but Eyewitness News has learned that a drone being flown in the area was preventing that.

There was a loose dog on the roadway, but it is unclear whether that was why people were on the roadway.

Both sides of Route 422 in the area were closed. The westbound side reopened at 5:53 p.m and the eastbound side reopened around 8:20 p.m.
