LeSean McCoy's Thank You To Philadelphia Does Not Include Chip Kelly

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- New Bills running back LeSean McCoy posted a video on Instagram on Thursday which paid homage to his years in Philadelphia. The post thank a few people, but it did not include a thank you for his most recent head coach, Chip Kelly.

McCoy's post read:

"My 6 years have been great I will miss the great fans n fun times as a eagle.. Mr Lurie n Andy Reid thank u for taking the young kid from Harrisburg pa and making him a man .... All my teammates it was a blast and yall kno I got so much luv for yall ... The fans the fans truly will b missed and I always made sure I broke some ankles just for the fans excitement ... Philly will always have a special place n my heart and from the Franchise Philadelphia Eagles All Time Rushing Leader good bye take care."

A thank you for Jeffrey Lurie and Andy Reid was included. That is understandable considering the fact that they gave him his initial chance to play in the NFL.

McCoy also mentioned his love for his teammates and the fans, but no thank you to Kelly?

No one is denying McCoy's talent, but Kelly was the coach who led McCoy to his two most productive seasons in Philadelphia. McCoy has rushed for 6,792 yards in his career. 2,926 of those yards were rushed for in the last two seasons with Kelly.

Those two seasons were the top two rushing seasons of McCoy's career.

In his introductory press conference with the Bills, McCoy mentioned that he was upset that he heard about his trade to Buffalo in the media before hearing from Kelly. Kelly explained on Wednesday that he tried to reach out to McCoy, but the story unfortunately leaked first.

It looks like some feathers were ruffled.
