LeBron James Passes Allen Iverson On NBA's Scoring List

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- LeBron James took another step forward on Sunday as he continues to prove himself as one of the best scorers in NBA history. James surpassed Sixers great Allen Iverson for 22nd all-time in NBA history.

Iverson finished his NBA career with 24,368 points. In the first quarter of the Cavaliers win over the Knicks, James passed Iverson and now stands at 24,383 points after scoring 18 points against the Knicks.

James has always regarded Iverson as one of his all-time favorite players and he got the opportunity to pass Iverson in what is well regarded as one of his favorite arenas to play in, Madison Square Garden.

Next up on the list for James is his former teammate Ray Allen who currently stands at 24,505 points. Allen has not yet officially announced whether or not he will return to play in the NBA.
