LeBron James Announces Return To Cleveland, Reported $100 Million Deal

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Thursday afternoon, the free agent that you might not have known was a free agent, re-signed with his team.

LeBron James announced on Twitter that he is returning to Cleveland to defend his NBA title. Sorry Sixers fans.

"I can't be more excited, in this opportunity, once again to defend our crown," the king said.

James returned to Cleveland, and after two seasons, he delivered on his mission to bring the city a much-needed championship. James, 31, is still at the peak of his powers coming off a season where he averaged 25.3 points, 6.8 assists and 7.4 rebounds.

He took the summer off from representing the United States in the Olympics.

According to a report, James' new deal is for three years and worth $100 million and will earn James over $33 million in the second season, the highest total in league history.
