Leaders Ask For Murder-Suicide Case Involving A Powerful New Jersey Couple To Be Reopened

SOMERSET COUNTY, N.J., (CBS) -- More than 200 community leaders are calling on authorities to reopen the investigation into the deaths of a well-known New Jersey couple, John and Joyce Sheridan.

Cooper Health Systems CEO John Sheridan and his wife Joyce were found dead in their Somerset County home in September, 2014. The prosecutors office ruled that Sheridan stabbed his wife, stabbed himself and set the bedroom on fire.

The murder weapon was never found.

Three former New Jersey governors are among the leaders asking for that case to be reopened.
