Large Sheep Ornament Returned To NJ Senior Living Community

MIDDLETOWN, NJ (CBS) – "Who would kidnap a sheep ornament from the lawn of a senior living community?"

That's the question staff and residents were asking from the Arbor Terrace of Middletown.

One of their five sheep ornaments disappeared, but thankfully a resident on spotted Maisie and returned her to the community.

Maisie had been taken from the facility of the 1800 block of State Highway 35 South.

Officials say this isn't the first time a sheep has been taken. A few weeks ago another was stolen and a neighbor found it at a local shopping center.

The resident who returned Maisie received a $50 reward.

"Our Arbor Terrace family has fun with our little flock of sheep and we'd really like to have Maisie returned. Hopefully someone will recognize her and let us know where she is," says Sandra Uphold, executive director.
