Arrest Made Following Barricade Incident, Double Shooting Inside Olney Home, Philadelphia Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - At least one person has been arrested following a barricade incident and a double shooting inside a home in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood Wednesday morning. Just before 6 a.m., a large police presence responded to the home on the 500 block of West Somerville Avenue for a report of a shooting inside and a person with a gun.

Once inside, officers found two victims who were shot.

Police say a 38-year-old Asian man was shot two times in the head. He was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition.

A 68-year-old Asian man was shot one time in the neck. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

A barricade was declared and SWAT officers were called to the home. Authorities cleared the scene without incident just before 7 a.m and an arrest was made.

No police officers were injured.

There has been no motive given for the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
