Lafayette College Football Player Dies After Crash In NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — An eastern Pennsylvania college football player has died days after his car went off a southern New Jersey highway and crashed.

Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, says 21-year-old Brian Keller died Thursday. The Somerdale resident had been at a Trenton hospital since he was flown there following a one-car crash on Interstate 295 in Burlington County on Tuesday.

Police say Keller's car veered off the highway, went over a grass berm and hit several trees. The crash is under investigation.

Keller was a mechanical engineering major and was on track to graduate in 2016. The college says he played in all 11 games last season as a tight end.

Services haven't been arranged.
