Lafayette College Cancels Classes And Athletic Events After Stomach Virus Spreads

EASTON, P.A., (CBS) -- Lafayette College announced on Wednesday that the recent outbreak of a contagious stomach virus at the school was due to norovirus.

In response, Lafayette is cancelling all classes, co-curricular and extracurricular events, including intercollegiate athletics.

This announcement includes events that are scheduled for Wednesday night and the cancellations will remain in effect throughout the weekend.

The college is set to resume its normal operations on Monday.
