La Salle Ends Losing Skid With Win Over Drexel

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Cleon Roberts scored 15 points and La Salle took advantage of a fast start to beat Drexel 65-55 on Saturday.

Drexel took a 4-2 lead but didn't score again for almost 10 minutes, missing 13 shots, as the Explorers grabbed a 12-4 advantage. Trailing 33-22, the Dragons opened the second half on an 8-0 run, including six straight points by Tavon Allen, to close within 33-30, but the Explorers responded with an 8-2 run. La Salle went up 10 with 5:35 left and the lead never dipped under double figures thereafter.

Jordan Price scored 11 points and Rohan Brown had 10 points and 10 rebounds for La Salle (5-4), which broke a four-game losing streak.

Damion Lee led Drexel (2-6) with 19 points. Allen added 14 and Rashann London 10. Rodney Williams had 11 rebounds.

La Salle has won the last six meetings between the two "City 6" schools.
