Knee-Jerk Reactions: Goodbye Playoffs?
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles are struggling.
Monday night was their sixth loss in eight games and their eighth straight game where they've scored 24 points or less.

It was an ugly 27-13 loss at home to the Green Bay Packers.
- The city is losing faith in Doug Pederson, quickly.
- 44 called passes to 14 called runs at home doesn't make any sense.
- They Eagles have been winning games by running the ball, controlling the clock, and winning the turnover battle -- they did none of that.
- Wendell Smallwood averaged 4.1 yards per carry, but somehow only received nine carries!
- Good thing Nelson Agholor was inactive! Paul Turner caught 0 balls on 0 targets and Jordan Matthews -- who was playing well (4 catches, 4 targets, 47 yards) -- injured his ankle in the second quarter.
- Bryce Treggs can play a role in the NFL as a deep threat, but Turner (5'11, 185 pounds, 4.60 speed) is not going to make an impact.
- Dorial Green-Beckham had the best game of his season (6 catches, 10 targets, 82 yards), but five of his six catches came in the first half.
- Fletcher Cox, who I have been a defender of, was invisible against a backup interior offensive lineman finishing with one total tackle and no sacks for the seventh straight game. Add in his third 15-yard roughing the passer penalty on a third down which results in a touchdown for the opposition, and Cox is now on the bad side of the fan base.
- As a team, the Eagles did not record a sack.
- Nolan Carroll had his worst game of the season and Leodis McKelvin wasn't much better.
- Jordan Hicks and Carson Wentz were probably the two best Eagles.
- Hicks had six solo tackles, eight total, and a QB hit.
- Wentz was 24 for 36 with 254 yards, 0 TD's, 1 INT and 33 rushing yards, 1 TD without his top RB, top two WR's, and three starting offensive lineman. He was sacked four times.
- The Eagles sit at 5-6, five games behind the 10-1 Dallas Cowboys and 1.5 games behind the 6-4-1 Washington Redskins.
- The wildcard may still be a mathematical possibility, but the Eagles currently sit in the 11th spot out 16 NFC teams.
