141 Cats Rescued, 59 Found Dead Inside Doylestown Home, SPCA Says

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Authorities rescued 141 cats and kittens from a townhome in Doylestown on Monday, while another 59 were found dead, Bucks County SPCA officials say. The animals were found living in terrible conditions.

Many of the rescued animals were in need of immediate medical treatment. The cats were taken to a shelter in Lahaska for examination, where the most critical animals will be taken care of.

There is no word at this time on the homeowner.
