PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Kimmel Center presents Christian McBride, 'The Movement Revisited' November 21 at the Merriam Theater.

Jay Wahl, artistic director of programming and presentation, gives a preview.

"We're excited to welcome him back to his home to do this project called, 'The Movement Revisited.' This has been a very long journey that Christian has taken on in exploring the civil rights movement through jazz and music. He's written this piece called "The Movement Revisited" where it's an 18 piece jazz orchestra which is a large jazz band, working with a gospel choir, working with actors who will be reading excerpts of speeches from great civil rights leaders."

As for the pre-show panel, he says "we're going to be holding a pre-show panel at 6:30 in our scni innovations studio, really interesting panel of folks who are going to talk about where we are in this journey of civil rights."
