Kiko Alonso: 'I Feel Very Comfortable With The Defense'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Tuesday, the Eagles announced the addition of linebacker Kiki Alonso who was acquired from the Bills in exchange for running back LeSean McCoy. Alonso met with members of the media via conference call after the trade was announced.

Alonso missed the 2014 season following a torn ACL and addressed his health status during the call.

"Not at 100 percent yet," Alonso said in regards to his health. He did add that he is "feeling really good about," his progress to this point.

Alonso added that he hopes to be at 100 percent when training camp begins.

Chip Kelly is quite familiar with Alonso who played for him at Oregon. The Eagles newest linebacker sees similarities in the Eagles scheme and what he ran in college.

"I feel very comfortable with the defense because I've done a lot of those things," Alonso said.
