Kelly: 'Nick Foles Will Not Play This Week'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Chip Kelly updated the status of Nick Foles during his press conference on Monday. Foles will not be available for the Eagles' next game on Saturday at the Washington Redskins.

"I know he's not cleared," Kelly said. "That's the only thing they just told me right. He's not cleared. He will not play this week."

Foles injured his collarbone in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.

"The bone is not healed," Kelly said. "He'll start throwing a little bit more, but he's out for right now. He's not cleared and will not play this week. Until he gets fully healed, he's not going to be able to play with it. We think he'll be able to throw a little more this week, but we can't have anyone near him with contact."

Mark Sanchez is 3-3 as a starter, since taking over for Foles.
