Jury Deliberations To Begin In Decoatesworth Trial

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A former Philadelphia is on trial, accused of assaulting his girlfriend.

Jury deliberations are set to begin Monday for ex-cop Richard Decoatesworth.

He's charged with assaulting his girlfriend in May 2013.

He testified he accidentally hit his girlfriend in the mouth while trying to knock away a brick she was holding.

He contends he never meant to hurt her.
