Jury Deliberations Continue In Charter School Fraud Trial

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A federal jury is scheduled to resume deliberations, today, on the fate of Philadelphia charter school founder Dorothy June Brown.
The jury began deliberations in mid-December and, after more than five days, delivered a partial verdict.
They acquitted Brown's two co-defendants of charges they conspired with her to cover up fraud at the four charter schools she founded.
But jurors said they hadn't reached a verdict on a single one of the 60 charges against Brown.
With the Christmas holiday coming, the judge said they could take a break and then take as long as they needed to decide on Brown and that is likely to be some time.
Brown is charged with defrauding nearly $7-Million from her schools for her personal use and then engaging in an elaborate scheme to cover it up.
