Judge Dismisses Sexual Assault Charges Against Former Philadelphia Police Officer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A judge dismissed sexual assault charges against a former Philadelphia police officer on Thursday. Novice Sloan was accused of attacking a woman inside his Northeast Philadelphia home on Aug. 8.
The judge ruled there was a lack of evidence in the case.
Prosecutors say they are deciding whether to re-file charges.
