Joel Embiid Has Quiet Home Debut
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's just his second professional basketball game, but fans are itching for a Joel Embiid explosion.
Embiid made his home debut on Thursday night in a double overtime preseason loss against the Washington Wizards. The Process had just five points, three rebounds, and one block on 2-6 shooting in 12 minutes of work. His first two shots weren't just misses -- they were air balls.

Before the game, Embiid certainly seemed excited about playing his first game in front of the Philly fans.

The fans certainly returned the love, giving Embiid a rousing ovation as he was introduced in the starting lineup. Embiid couldn't help but smile.
As for the other big Sixers name making his home debut, Dario Saric, was excellent. Saric netted 14 points on 5-7 shooting including 2-3 from beyond the arc to go along with four rebounds.
