Jeremy Maclin Says Eagles Hope To Win Three Out Of Every Four Games

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Eagles want to win at least 12 games. That's the goal, according to Maclin, who explains his team has broken the season down into quarters, hoping to lose no more than one in every four games.

"It's a big game, it's a big game, you know," Maclin told Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis Thursday on the 94WIP Afternoon Show. "We take it one game at a time, but if you want to break it down, you know, you want to break it down in quarters. So, each four games is a quarter. So, if you go---obviously you want to win them all---but if you go 3-1 in each of those quarters, that's something that you kind of want to do. So, right now, we're sitting at 5-2. To go 3-1 in this quarter, we need a big win, so it would get us to 6-2."

The Eagles travel to Houston on Sunday to take on a 4-4 tough Texans team, which is second in the NFL with 17 takeaways. They, of course, showcase the NFL's best defensive player in J.J. Watt.

"They're hungry, they're playing at home," Maclin, who had a career-high 187 receiving yards in last Sunday's loss, said. "They got a stout front seven. They got a guy [Watt] who can single-handedly wreck a game. So we understand the type of challenge that we're up against, so we gotta go out there and be sharp."
