Jack Wagner Ends Bid For Democratic Gubernatorial Nomination

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) - Barely more than a month after jumping in, Pennsylvania's former auditor general is bowing out of the race for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
Many observers scratched their heads when former Auditor General Jack Wagner waited until late February to join the Democrats running for governor. Now he tells the Associated Press that he found that his traditional supporters are backing another candidate or staying neutral.
Wagner's decision to drop out of the race leaves the Democratic field without a candidate from the western part of the state. The four remaining candidates are businessman Tom Wolf, who has been ahead recent polls, along with state Treasurer Rob McCord, former Rendell cabinet member Katie McGinty and Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz.
