Is Curt Schilling Considering A White House Run?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Phillies pitcher and World Series champion Curt Schilling could have his eyes on a run at the White House. Could you picture President Schilling?

Schilling has become widely known for his strong conservative views. He has voiced that he is supporting Donald Trump for the White House.

The former ace outlined his plan on his Facebook page on Sunday as he went back and forth with people commenting on one of his posts.

Schilling stated that he plans to run for the presidency in the next 4-8 years, after first running for local office.

"State office first, white house in 8 years," Schilling wrote accompanied by a smiley face. "He then wrote," or 4 if by some amazing illegal event this country elects another clinton."

Schilling was working for ESPN earlier this year, but was fired, In April, for what the company called anti-transgender comments on social media. The posts included Schilling saying "A man is a man no matter what they call themselves."
