Iconic 'Iroquois' Sculpture On Parkway Is Getting A Facelift

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - An iconic piece of public art in Philadelphia is getting a facelift. Chopper 3 was over the Parkway on Thursday where crews disassembled "Iroquois."

The sculpture first arrived on the Parkway 15 years ago, and it's in need of a new paint job in its signature red-orange color.

The sculpture's 17 and a half tons of steel will be rehabbed at an industrial paint facility in Delaware.

Iroquois will be back in place on the Parkway in September.
