PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police need the public's help in locating a person of interest in a murder that took place in a South Philly restaurant last week.

Authorities are searching for 27-year-old Noel Ortea Lemus Del Cid, in connection with the murder of a cook in South Philadelphia.

Last Thursday, police responded to Lee's Cafe and Bistro, at 5th and Washington Ave, where a 54-year-old woman found slashed across the throat.

The victim, Thoung Nguyen was in the basement preparing orders. When one didn't come in on time, the owner went downstairs and found Nguyen stabbed multiple times, with kitchen equipment laying on top of her.

Investigators say Lemus Del Cid is from Honduras and works as a kitchen helper. He drives a white SUV and may have a cut on his hand.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
