Investigators Search For Cause Of Suspicious Fires In Gloucester County

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ (CBS) - Investigators in South Jersey are asking for the public's help as they look into a pair of suspicious fires that happened at the same vacant house about a week apart. After the second time, authorities say they found some key evidence that indicates someone was in the house and injured.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says fire broke out at a house on Mansion Avenue on the nights of October 30 and November 7. After the most recent fire, authorities say they found a "substantial amount of blood" at the scene indicating someone was hurt and needed to get treatment.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Deptford Township Police. Det. John Petroski at 856-224-8227 or Col. John Craig at 856-853-4599, ext. 170. The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office is also accepting anonymous tips by texting GIOTIP and the information to CRIMES (274637).
